Afterschool Power-On Club

ECM is thrilled to be working with schools around the state of South Carolina in the afterschool space! We run a variety of programs for K-12 on topics including arts integration, STEAM, and entrepreneurship.

Examples

• At Sedgefield Middle School in Berkeley County, a literacy-based STEAM program engaged students in creating hands-on STEAM projects from novels they received and read as a group. Funded by Boeing SC in 2022

• At Estill Elementary School, students participated in hands-on, arts integrated lessons built around themes, with a heavy emphasis on literacy and science standards. Funded by ArtsGrowSC in 2023

• At St. John's High School, students learned about entrepreneurship and launched their own art-based businesses, culminating with a highly successful Market Day where they sold their unique products. Funded by ArtsEtc. in 2021

While each afterschool program might have a different focus or topic, they all have one thing in common: high levels of student engagement through the arts!
