Program Description: Master the understanding of concepts such as; cause/effect, problem/solution and or similarities/differences using specified subject area content. Students create a visual piece of art (collage) using a variety of pictorial images, unusual objects and embellishments from many creative sources, craft and handmade papers, and 3-D items. Mixed media, collage and Mind Mappings connect concepts and ideas and show how a picture is worth a thousand words!
Through the assemblage of unique objects, photos, embellishments and papers, purposely selected to fit the content being taught; students explore and create a mixed- media response to a variety of Learning Standards. Engaging students’ minds to explore, create and explain their images becomes proof of content understanding.
