Thanks for sharing your super powers, Emily Heeke! | Volunteer Spotlight

Last, but certainly not least, we have Engaging Creative Minds (ECM) volunteer Emily Heeke. Emily was always willing to take on any task set in front of her and truly made a difference in our organization.

ECM Director of Development, Strategy & Communications, Andrew McGlaughon, shared about his experience working with Emily, “Emily was awesome, she went above and beyond what was asked of her and really took ownership over the project(s) she was assigned.  Having her in the office was like having another full-time employee as she worked to build a real understanding of our programs and how/why we do what we do!”

What makes this volunteer experience a meaningful use of your time?

Being able to connect to others in the organization and see the results of your hard work.

What is the biggest benefit you receive as a volunteer with ECM?

Being able to take part in helping the next generation become stronger thinkers, problem solvers, and creators!

What is the most memorable accomplishment and/or moment of your volunteer experience?

The most memorable moments of my volunteer experience would be taking field trips to other nonprofits and discussing what they do in the community and how we can learn from one another.  It was very inspiring!
