MaKey MaKey invention kits allows for a hands on and creative way to experience circuits, sound and motion.
The 3 Laws of Motion come alive with LittleBits snap on circuits. Students can design robots, contraptions, and machines that will help them experience  Newtons’ laws that are the foundation for understanding our physical world!
Hands on Tech
iPads, GoPro’s and green screens enable students to create movies and soundtracks. Students will experience and recreate historical events such as the Westward Expansion, Roaring Twenties, Revolutionary War…
Tom will provide all the equipment except for iPads.
Sample Experiences:

3rd-8th Grade ELA and Music Compose a theme for characters in a book. The musical elements of the composition (pitch, beat, orchestration) would support the personal traits and actions of the chosen characters. Create a circuit with MaKey MaKey and learn about conductivity in the process.

3rd-8th Grade Science and Music  Compose music for celestial bodies in our solar system. The music would reflect the physical characteristics of a planet/moon/sun. Create a circuit with MaKey MaKey and learn about conductivity in the process.

3rd-8th Grade Social Studies and ELA Compose music for historical events. Create a circuit with MaKey MaKey and learn about conductivity in the process.

Examples:

Conquistadores, Roaring Twenties, Civil War, Second World War, Lewis and Clark Expedition
